2Nature of the activity and intermediation

Jan Kohlenbach does not run his own kitesurf school — he is an instructor who personally teaches the lessons, in partnership with a local kitesurf school in Tenerife. Jan Kohlenbach is your Spanish- and German-speaking point of contact, before and during your stay, coordinating the booking and supporting you throughout the process.

Jan Kohlenbach personally teaches the kitesurf lessons and also works with a local kitesurf school in Tenerife, which provides additional equipment and beach-operations support when needed. Jan Kohlenbach coordinates your booking, answers your questions, and acts as your Spanish- and German-speaking contact person before and during the activity.

3Purpose

These terms govern the booking of kitesurf lessons, experiences and other services offered by Jan Kohlenbach, in coordination with the partner school, through tenerifekitesurf.com, as well as access to the free online course.

4Booking process

Lessons are booked via the contact form or WhatsApp, stating your level, availability and contact details. Bookings are confirmed personally by Jan Kohlenbach, who will indicate the date, time, meeting point and price.

5Prices

Prices for lessons and experiences are communicated individually, depending on the service requested, duration and number of participants, and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6Payment

Payment is made as agreed at the time the booking is confirmed (cash, bank transfer, or another method indicated).

7Weather conditions

Kitesurfing depends on wind and sea conditions. If conditions on the day of the lesson are not safe or suitable, the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra cost to the client, on the earliest possible date subject to availability.

8Cancellations

  • If you cancel at the last minute (less than 24 hours before the lesson), 1 hour will be deducted from the amount or booked hours.
  • If there are no conditions (no wind) and the lesson can be moved to another day, it will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
  • If there are no conditions and rescheduling is not possible, the proportional amount for the hours not enjoyed will be refunded.

9Right of withdrawal

Under Article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services tied to a specific date or period of performance, such as kitesurf lessons with a confirmed date. For services booked without a specific date, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract, unless you have already started enjoying the service with your express consent.

10Safety and assumption of risk

Kitesurfing is a risk sport. The client confirms being in adequate physical condition to practice it and agrees to follow the instructor's safety instructions at all times. The partner school holds the relevant insurance for the activity.

11Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent Courts under the law, without prejudice to any rights consumers may have under applicable regulations.
